On a typical Summer Sunday, Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) has 1,500 walkers on its 3,560-foot summit. (A further 1,000 are carried up by the famous rack-and-pinion railway from Llanberis.) Many other peaks, such as Tryfan (3,010 feet), are more challenging, less populated and arguably more attractive.
A pack featuring a series of local walks is available as a free download (click here), or from reception on site for a small fee.
